100 pieces
Join us for our Annual 100 Pieces art auction on Thursday, December 4th at Steelhead Studios in Playa Vista, California to help raise critical funds for A Sense of Home to help create homes and a community for youth aging out of the foster care system in Los Angeles County. Come enjoy music + drinks, network with artists and marketing industry giants — and bid on one-of-a-kind artwork where 100% of proceeds benefit A Sense of Home.
About 100 Pieces
In 2015 four friends came up with an idea to bring everyone in their work community together in solidarity with the art community. Our mission was creativity for good. The purpose of the event would be to help others in need and who live among us, while celebrating individual creativity. We call the event 100 Pieces.
Every year, we ask our network of artists and makers to donate one piece of their personal art for a silent auction benefiting a local nonprofit.
This year, we have teamed up with the local grassroots nonprofit organization A Sense of Home in LA County. We have made it our mission to raise as much money as we can at our event so A Sense of Home can continue their work in the arena of preventing homelessness by creating first-ever homes and a community for youth aging out of foster care. All proceeds raised from the auction will go directly to A Sense of Home.
About A Sense of Home
At A Sense of Home, we believe that everyone deserves the dignity of a safe, fully furnished home. Our mission is to prevent homelessness by creating homes for displaced individuals and families, offering more than just furniture — we offer a fresh start.
Whether rebuilding after aging out of foster care or recovering from disaster, we provide essential home goods and furnishings through the power of community and volunteerism. Our work lays the foundation for healing, stability, and long-term success.
50% of those struggling with homelessness are former foster youth. The homeless crisis can only end through prevention. Learn more about ways to help by following us @asenseofhomeorg or visiting asenseofhome.org/former-foster-youth-la.
